Measuring Fleet Emissions

What are Fleets?

Gravity’s Fleet measurement feature makes it easy to measure the emissions of your vehicles and mobile equipment (e.g., industrial equipment, construction machinery, etc.).
To measure emissions associated with buildings or stationary equipment, use the Site feature.

Creating a Fleet

To create a Fleet in Gravity, navigate to the Measure tab, then to the “Fleets” page. Click the black “Add Fleet” button in the top-right corner, and give the Fleet a name. You’ll be prompted to enter information about the vehicles or equipment that comprise your Fleet, as well as the type of fuel they use. This information helps us calculate your emissions accurately, and also serves as an initial starting point for recommendations about ways to reduce your carbon footprint.
When you create a Fleet, you can also link it to a Site. This will cause the Fleet’s emissions to be included in that Site’s calculated emissions.
Clicking on your new Fleet will bring you to the Fleet’s page.

Adding Activity Data to Fleets

Gravity allows for quick and powerful data entry by uploading fuel bills or other files. Users can also add data manually.
To add data to a Fleet by fuel bill upload, navigate to the Fleet’s page. Click the “Add Data” button in the top-right corner to open a modal. Then, either drag files from your computer into the file drop area, or click the file drop area to open a file picker. After selecting your files, they will upload and processing will begin immediately.
To manually add data to a Fleet, you’ll enter information about the quantity and type of fuel your Fleet used. You’ll also have the option to add more precise information about your vehicles or equipment to increase the accuracy of your emissions measurement.

Fleets in Analyze

In Analyze, each Fleet will appear as a checkbox on the left-hand side under “Mobile Combustion.” This allows you to toggle each part of a Fleet’s emissions profile on and off while analyzing your data.

Deleting a Fleet

To delete a Fleet, navigate to that Fleet’s page. Click the “Configure” tab, then click the red “Delete Fleet” button at the bottom of the page. You’ll be prompted to confirm your deletion request. Once confirmed, the Fleet and all associated data will be deleted.
